Welcome

When you book Whippletree you can expect a Ceilidh (or barn dance) with a difference!

A Ceilidh used to mean an informal gathering of friends and neighbours, involving a whole range of community activities. Today however, it usually means an organised event where everyone can get up on the dance floor and enjoy themselves. This is what Whippletree is good at doing: getting everyone up and dancing!

We are a group of friends, with a passion for making music and dancing. We play a variety of instruments including woodwind, piano accordion, melodeon, strings and percussion. We play Cornish, Breton and English traditional tunes.

We are here to enliven your party or event, from birthdays, weddings and other social occasions to charity fund-raisers indoors or outdoors (weather permitting).

Whippletree is keen to support the community and, although we charge for private functions, we are always open to negotiation, especially for charitable causes
